At the beginning of the year we had an enquiry from an existing contracts manager who had changed companies and had a project in Bruton, Somerset.

It just shows that reputation with clients counts for everything in the asbestos industry. Anyway, we carried out a Refurbishment and Demolition Survey and on the survey we discovered asbestos cement roof tiles & asbestos cement corrugated sheets on the barn.

Phase one was to remove the asbestos cement corrugated roof sheets on the barn. We had several on site meetings with the client and scaffolding team to make sure that the access was safe and fit for purpose on this project.

Due to the barn having a very high and steep pitch we had to have scaffolding inside the barn as well as externally. This helped us remove the asbestos cement corrugated sheets in a safer method.
